Mock Family Update

Hello Everyone,

Mike is presently across the "big" pond. I thought I would give you an update on the Mock Family. I believe Mike mentioned it earlier that Justin has been accepted to The Citadel. We just found out that he has received a four year ROTC scholarship. (our pocketbook is very grateful). Justin is so excited. It was great telling Mike the news. He needed to hear some good news from the home front. Please pray for his safe return. This tour has been a little harder on us since this is the first major deployment since 146 was shot down and we lost some really good guys.

Mike should be home just in time from Justin's graduation . Then we are headed to FL for some scuba diving.

We are also the proud owners of 50 acres in Milano Texas. It is about 45 minutes outside of Bryan College Station. Mike is so excited about being able to hunt on his back 40. I believe Mike has decided to retire in 2 1/2 years. (Just in time for our 25th Wedding anniver.) I told him that he could not retire because he had not reach true W4 status, as in the side Velcro tapes on the flight suit are not pulled all the way out. But that is okay I think 20 years is enough.

Mike Jr is still attending Sam Houston State in Huntsville. I think he is on the 20 year plan. :)I believe he has decided to major in computer forensic.

A bit of a different Sport

Since Dean is sharing his activity, and although maybe not as exciting... If you guys ever get the chance you might want to try the IDPA(www.idpa.com). Its a hoot and significantly improves yours skills, especially for those of you who are still asked to maintain them.

Dean, I shot a match the other day with a guy that was shooting your weapon of choice. Seemed to work very smoothly and effectively. Strong competitor. I'll try to get some pictures but I thought of you guys at last weeks match... during the scenario where we are engaging a pack of wild dogs( card board targets and steel knock downs) in the woods while dragging an injurred body to safety... ( flight suit stuffed to the gills.. kinda looked like Dean, maybe more like Brad.. too short to be Dennis).. But its a fun sport with a bizzar enough group of guys.. I know you'd like it.
