Bonaire Vacation

This shot was after a 160' dive off the resort beach. You can't see them but there are double tanks on back with the single stage tank on the left.
Quality time in the pool. Notice the UV protection, worn by one member of the Pennington family.
Last sunset in Bonaire. It was quite beautiful. You can also see that Djuana is pregnant with the latest due the end of sep/first of october.
Shot of typical beach on Bonaire Island. It is approximately 60 miles north of Venezuela. It is part of the Netherland Antilles.

MY MIKE!

I'm very, very glad to see Mike! I'll will be in Texas with Deaner on the 26th of August collectling the free T-shirt. George will no doubt be busy defending us and ruffing up all the Texains we will bother with our lies. Here are a couple shots of Mike having fun without a motorcycle or a big windy!

I'm always playing catch-up to Dennis

Whether it was assesing, or buying the much smaller house next door, or whatever, I've never been able to rise to his level. Oh well, here is my shot at posting toys and family too.

The difference between men and boys is the price of the toys (a pilot bonus doesn't hurt either.)

St. Patrick's Day 2006, Savannah Georgia. Justin is a JROTC cadet and gets to march in the parade every year. One more year and we'll be empty nesters too!

Michael Jr. and Justin getting some brother to brother time in Texas while dad is gone once again.

Mike and Jennifer

This is Jennifer and I this past spring. One of my favorite sayings, after all of the numerous deployments and loss of friends, is "Life is too short for light beer!" Thanks to my favorite ex-neighbor (no, not you Dennis, I was talking about Cindy) for introducing me to Sam Adams.

Gauntlet thrown, just to shut Dean up.

Ok, it's like this, Deanie and I were on the phone the other night and while we were talking I had an epiphany (I know that's a big word for Brad, he's in the NG so I will explain; epiphany - a sudden intuitive leap of understanding, especially through an ordinary but striking occurrence). I thought it is TIME (past time even) for a reunion. Since there was an interest in the Desert Storm Bad Boy T-shirt (see picture...Bryan, I assure you it's a "road map" under there), I thought I would go out and get a number of shirts made up at Dean's expense and pass them out at said reunion. I propose to get together in Dallas, TX (Hanau would be more fun, but then you sissies would have an excuse not to show up) the last weekend in August. That would be Sat, 26 August 2006 at a hotel yet to be named. Each attending Bad Boy would get a FREE; yes FREE reproduction 2-227 AVIATION BAD BOYS OF BRAVO CO REUNION TOUR 2006! This is a limited time offer!! Dean has agreed to get the Desert Rat logo tattooed on his ass if we all show up.

Gentlemen, and I use that term loosely, I WILL BE in Dallas on Sat, 26 AUG 2006 with a load of t-shirts and the first round bought and waiting on you. If you can't show, send your wives.

***This get together is not limited to those who have or want to attach clips to various body parts. The “Bad Boy Association” (we used to be a club, but association sounds like we have more class) is dedicated to the misuse of office supplies and the American way. We invite all associates, acquaintances, friends, relatives and of course any large breasted women who would like to attend. Just be prepared to listen to many lies that have grown and matured with age. Bringing money to buy us beer is always a good idea also.

Hello from Georgia

Wow, so much to catch up on, I don't really know where to start. Remember when I would cram my little bitty helicopter full of stuff and could barely get off the ground? And then I would get blown all over the FARP by all of you. I'll just say this, revenge has been sweet!! (Just kidding, no hard feelings.) I have been flying various versions of Chinooks since 1996. It was a sad day a several years ago when I realized I had more Chinook time than 58 time, I guess I can no longer say I'm a scout pilot flying chinooks. Don't worry, my sadness didn't last long, once I got up, took a leak and walked around and strethced my legs a little after coming off the HAR track.

I just switched over to the MH47G, our newest one. I am often asked what I like better, flying little birds or Chinooks. Honestly, they each have their own place in my love of flying, but I really do love what I do. No where else would I still get to be a mission pilot as a CW4. I pray I get to do this until I leave the army.

So as not to take up too much space on my first day here, I'll sign off for now and see if I can figure out how to post a few pictures. I look forward to hearing from all of you, hopefully I'll make the upcoming reunion.

NSDQ!

Mike

Bravo Company Bad Boys: May 2006

Bravo Company Bad Boys: May 2006

Hey guys, you'll never guess who calls out of the blue the other day. None other than Dean Pennington, after 13 years since we last spoke. I must say I was really happy to hear from him. I'm new at this blog thing, so I'm just going to post this and see how it looks.

Mike
